The Leader

People-first union organizing, governance, coaching, recruitment, and facilitation that leads to action.

Leadership & advocacy

People first.
Purpose always.

I believe unions are strongest when members are heard, connected, informed, and equipped to lead—not just counted.

The work in the world · a visual portfolio

Show up. Speak up.
Make it happen.

Leadership is rarely a solo photograph. It is the people, the planning, the listening, the courage to speak, and all the follow-through that happens when the cameras are put away.

✳ I believe an advocate has to be more than an ally. Roll up your sleeves, stand alongside people, and do the work.
Training & facilitation

Less lecturing.
More learning.

I'm passionate about professional learning that respects the experiences in the room, invites people into the process, and sends them back into the world with practical skills and genuine confidence.

My approach is informed by classroom teaching, educator mentoring, MEA organizing, and NEA Campaign Lab coaching and training.

  • Interactive, hands-on learning rather than one-way presentations
  • Thoughtful opportunities for quiet and confident voices alike
  • Coaching, reflection, practice, and follow-through
  • Humor and humanity, because serious work can still be joyful
“I don't measure success by how much I talked. I measure it by what people can do when they leave.”

A Little More Missy… ✷

Yes, I care whether a handout is pretty. Not instead of being useful. In addition to being useful. We can have both, people.
